Gnome Suite HomeCategory: Projects
Two years ago, we acquired the property adjacent to the McGuire family home in Raymond, Washington. When I was young the property was all woods. In the intervening years, it was mostly cleared and partially filled to create a building lot. The development never occured, and when my sister, Carol, bought the family home, I naturally wanted to make the adjacent property part of the place.
Last spring we cleared out a large bramble of blackberries, and to the surprise of all but me, we found inside the stump of the maple tree that held my treehouse. In the subsequent trips last fall and this spring, the old stump became a home for gnomes and a focal point on the property. Appropriate, continuous development.
